Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of procurement and supply chain management? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Procurement Packaging Assistant Intern to join our team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the procurement of packaging materials, working closely with our Procurement & Supply Chain team. You'll play a crucial role in analyzing data, creating and updating documentation, and negotiating with suppliers, all while learning the ins and outs of technical documentation and packaging commodities.



Learning Assignment


As an intern, you will engage in a comprehensive learning experience that combines practical responsibilities with valuable educational objectives. Your assignment will include:


- Collaborative Documentation Development: Work alongside stakeholders and end-users to identify technical information and documentation requirements for packaging materials. This will enhance your understanding of how to create effective user manuals and how-to guides.


- Supplier Negotiation Skills: Collaborate with suppliers in the packaging commodities field, learning negotiation techniques and best practices to secure favorable terms and conditions.


- Data Analysis for Decision-Making: Analyze existing data within Cerba Research, including invoices and inventories, to develop your analytical skills and provide actionable insights that inform procurement strategies.


- Conducting Packaging Trials: Participate in packaging trials, where you will learn how to assess packaging effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement based on your findings.


- Sourcing Strategy Development: Propose a sourcing strategy for packaging and engage in RFX activities to identify and select suppliers, gaining firsthand experience in strategic sourcing processes.


- Project Management Fundamentals: Manage packaging projects and timelines, allowing you to develop your organizational and project management skills while ensuring all documentation and records are maintained accurately.


Job requirements

What you will bring:


- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Professional Education in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

- Ability to proactively identify and solve issues.

- Office tools proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) is a must

- Familiarity with technical concepts in Packaging, Supply Chain, Logistic, Procurement

- Adaptability to present and communicate well

- Great research skills

- Accountable and organized
