Principle Scientist - Flow Cytometry

The Principal Scientist is a key scientific position within Cerba Research. As Principal Scientist you are involved in the development of new assays and ensure quality data is produced for global clinical trials. You are the internal point of contact for scientific matters and education of employees within and outside of the Flow cytometry team.

Be the scientific consultant with clients:

• Interact with clients over email, teleconference (TC) and/or face-to-face meetings.
• Support the sales team as expert consultant for clients during client visits and/or via TC.
• Provide updates to the client during assay development and validation, and as needed for clinical data.

Be the point of contact with client, Cerba Research’s divisions and subcontractor laboratories:

• Provide internal support for implementation of assays by providing input to other divisions within Cerba research.
  
• Provide support for implementation of assays in subcontractor laboratories.
• Write validation plans, validation reports, working instructions and SOPs.
• Discuss validation data with clients as needed.

Be the internal expert for Flow cytometry related topics:

• Maintain personal scientific and technical expertise in the selected areas.
  
• Maintain personal knowledge on the therapeutic areas of assays validated at Cerba Research.
• Identify new methodologies and innovative technologies of relevance for expansion of flow cytometry services.
• Provide scientific training as assigned to internal staff and provide scientific materials to other divisions as needed.
• Maintain personal knowledge on the therapeutic areas for which the technology platform is key.

Be a driver for growth:

• Internally, identify possible areas of improvement, at all levels, in how we work with partner laboratories, also according to partners’ needs and ensuring best alignment.
  
• Identify and produce scientific and technical material that will be used to build capabilities awareness.
• Identify new methodologies and innovative technologies of relevance.

Your Qualifications (Education and Expertise) 

• PhD degree in Immunology or oncology or related field of study.
• More than 5 years of Flow Cytometry experience, including minimum of 2 years of Spectral Flow cytometry experience.
• Work experience in pharma/biotech and/or CRO.
• Understanding of CAP/CLIA, GCLP and quality assurance for clinical laboratory and clinical testing.
