SAMPLE HANDLING COORDINATOR TEAM LEAD

Your role as Leader of the team of Sample Handling Coordinators is to lead in the daily tasks required in the Sample Handling Department. Ensure key daily activities are completed while mentoring the team, driving process improvement initiatives, and supporting the Sample Handling Manager as required.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Sample Handling Coordinator Team, ensuring completion of core activities, cross-training for redundancy, and regular performance feedback while collaborating with other team leads and the department supervisor for overall department effectiveness.
  • Manage sample and shipment discrepancies, oversee shipment schedules, and ensure compliance with laboratory specifications, SOPs, and project management timelines; handle dry ice orders (EUR only), perform end-of-trial checks, and assist with coordinator and shipment tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate on global process and procedure development, including authoring SOPs, participating in client and internal audits, and leading incident and quality investigations; provide training on new applications, process improvements, and necessary retraining.
  • Support freezer temperature monitoring system accuracy and calibration, check alarms, ensure proper probe placement, and maintain record-keeping processes.

Job requirements

THE IDEAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years working experience.
  • You are able to communicate in a clear way to your team members and stakeholders on various levels
  • You have previous leadership experience in a production or supply chain environment
  • You are a strong problem solver
  • You work well under pressure
  • You have a affinity for quality
  • Fluent in Dutch (EU) and English
  • You are flexible regarding working schedule- Working WEEK MO-FR alternate TU-SAT
