Job description

The Team Lead Kit Building Administration oversees the team that works on assembly and distribution of scientific kits used for various research, diagnostic, or therapeutic purposes. The main objectives for this position are centered around ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance within the kit-building process. 

The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operational management in their workplace. This includes leading a team and being responsible for all required functions, delegating tasks and setting deadlines.


Your Responsibilities

  • General activities according to relevant procedures:
    • Oversee day-to-day operation of their team. Manage workload together with the relevant line manager.
    • Assist line manager with long-term staff planning and the creation of business cases etc.
    • Ensure all work is executed to the highest quality standards and according to required quality procedures and SOPs.
    • Assist with projects withing the scope of responsibility.
    • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives withing the scope of responsibility
    • Monitor team performance and report on metrics. Manage the performance and quality delivered by the team and each employee including performance discussions, etc.
    • Liaise with the warehouse or purchasing teams to ensure all required products are available
    • Reporting, record keeping, filing, and archiving
    • Manage the training and competency of the team. Provide training and coaching as required.
    • Destroying materials and documentation upon need. Assist with outgoing shipment or disposal of products.
    • Communicate with other departments and stakeholders as required
    • Provide general assistance to the team with their tasks

  • Quality control, quality assurance and training according to relevant procedures:
    • Work in accordance with the relevant procedures, NEN and ISO standards and requirements
    • Perform quality control on documents, databases, kits, etc.
    • Notify member of the management team of any deviations from procedures, incorrect materials, or any other technical issue
    • Keep records up to date
    • Perform any other task related to the job (e.g. provide training to colleagues, file documents, etc.) upon request


Job requirements

Your Qualifications (Education and Expertise) 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience
  • Capable to manage and coach a group of people
  • You communicate effectively and in a clear way to your team and other stakeholders (both internally and externally).
  • Fluent in MS Office applications
  • You are capable of dealing with and solving problems
  • You are detail oriented
  • You have organizational and time-management skills
  • You have the flexibility to work in flexible working hours or shifts (day and evening) upon need
  • Knowledge of the quality system and GCLP, GMP, GDP is considered a plus
